Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2026
At Oriney (Rok Slemenik s.p., Slovenj Gradec, Slovenia), we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation — GDPR) and Slovenian data protection legislation (ZVOP-2). This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have.
1. Data We Collect
When you use the Oriney service, we may collect the following data:
- Contact information: your email address and name, provided when you register or contact us.
- Query data: search queries you submit to the platform (e.g., parcel numbers, locations, questions about spatial plans).
- Geospatial data: parcel data from public GURS cadastral records and municipal spatial plans (OPN) that the platform processes based on your queries.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, access timestamps, and interaction data.
- Payment data: if you use paid features, payment processing is handled by our payment service provider. We do not store credit card numbers.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data for the following purposes:
- Providing and improving our service — analysing OPN zoning rules, land use designations, and building conditions for your parcels.
- Responding to your enquiries and providing customer support.
- Usage analytics to improve user experience and platform performance.
- Complying with legal obligations and enforcing our terms of service.
The legal bases for processing your data are: performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), our legitimate interest in improving the service (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), and your consent where required (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
3. Cookies and Analytics
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to ensure the service functions correctly, analyse usage, and improve your experience.
- Strictly necessary cookies: enable core website functionality (e.g., session management). The service cannot operate without them.
- Analytics cookies: help us understand how visitors use our website. We use them to improve content and functionality.
Non-essential cookies are only set with your consent. You can change your cookie preferences at any time through your browser settings.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers within the European Economic Area (EEA). We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or destruction, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.
The geospatial data we process (GURS records, OPN data) is publicly available information from official state registries. This data is processed for analytical purposes and is not linked to your identity unless you associate it with your own queries.
5. Third-Party Services
We may use the following third-party services to deliver our product:
- Hosting providers: for data storage and infrastructure (within the EEA).
- Analytics services: for anonymised analysis of website usage.
- Payment processors: for secure payment handling.
- AI model providers: for natural language processing in the analysis of spatial planning documents. Data is processed in compliance with GDPR.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
6. Your Rights (GDPR)
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Right of access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: request correction of inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure: request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Right to restriction of processing: request that we limit how we process your data.

- Query data: up to 12 months after your last activity, for service improvement purposes.
- Technical data and cookies: up to 26 months.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or by posting a notice on our website.
